Dairy-free option
This recipe can make dairy-free by adding canned coconut milk to heavy whipping cream. I know this gives it a slight coconut flavor that works well with chocolate – like a teal bar.
Sweetener substations
If you don’t have my favorite sweetener, replace the ones you have. If you do substitute, be sure to adjust the quantity if necessary to achieve the correct level of sweetness.
For example, the sweetener I use is twice as sweet as sugar; if your cup measures the size of a container like sugar, you will need to double that amount.
Sweet, sweet foods such as pure stevia powder or pure monk fruit powder cannot supply in bulk with cocoa. Because of this, cocoa can form in lumps.

Can you make hot chocolate with heavy cream?
I often make dense chocolate with heavy cream for various reasons. First of all, I usually do not have any milk on hand (not even almond milk!) Unless I need a particular prescription. Yet, I always have heavy cream for my morning coffee. Additionally, heavy cream is much lower in whole milk, 2% milk, and carbs than skim milk. I love the richness that heavy cream has added to little carb hot chocolate.
When I prepare hot chocolate with heavy cream, I like to dilute it with other liquids. In this 5 Minute Low Carb Hot Chocolate Recipe, I use a mixture of coffee and water to dilute the cream. If you prefer, you can skip the coffee and use all the water. And as a substitute, the flavor of the coffee is to collide. You can use all the coffee instead of water.
